SUBJECT Information Concerning U.S. PWs

On the basis of the information provided in this intelligence report, DI-6 has tentatively identified the "U.S. Army Atillery Captain" as one of two individuals. Coordination is continuing with the U.S. Army ACSI to see if its records shed any light on the identity and date and time of loss of these officers. Additionally, a message will be sent-to the USDAO Saigon requesting that the defector be shown photos of the two possibilities. Over the years many sightings of U.S. PWs have been reported in the northern Binh Dinh - Quang Ngai/Quang Tin area. However, the intelligence community his been unable to substantiate these reports.
