Since 1973, the remains of some of these servicemen have been returned. Some, like Ronald Dodge, (photo right) represent cases where Vietnam had immediate knowledge of his fate. Lt. Dodge was photographed in captivity. His picture appeared on the cover of Life magazine. Yet, the Vietnamese chose not to resolve his fate until 1981, when they returned his remains. For others on this list, their families still wait.
