2020 - POW/MIA Recognition Day Events

On Friday, September 18,2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. MST, please help us by joining Eleanor Apodaca, sister of Major Victor J. Apodaca Jr. , who will be MC'ing the POW/MIA Recognition Day at the Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, located at 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, for a special ceremony honoring not only her brother, but ALL American POW/MIA's.

The event is proudly hosted by: the Arizona Families And Friends of POW/MIA; Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America Tucson Chapter 106; and Vietnam Veterans of America Tucson Chapter 106.

The Sons of American Legion Detachment of New Jersey's 30th Annual POW/MIA Watchfire is open to the public.

The bonfire will be lit around 7:00 p.m. and food will be served around 8:00 p.m..

New Jersey Covid-19 outdoor and food service guidelines will be followed. Please remember to bring your mask, and if you forget, masks will be available.

There will be plenty of room, so don't forget your chairs.
